In college, you would like to find a part-time job when you have some leisure time out of class to rich your school life. Being a tutor may be our first choice! But, how could be a good, employable tutor? It is a hard solved question especially to a rookie!

There are at least two ways to find a part-time job to be a tutor, one is putting your resume on internet, and the other is turning to the employment agency for help! Of course, the first one may not work at once, the only thing you could do is waiting for the employer to give you chance. The second one could always make you get the job as long as you agree to pay some money to the agency first!

Having got the opportunity for interview, what should you do to make yourself be the employer’s best choice? First, pay attention to your dress, because the first impression is always important. Second, know clear the causes of your student; do briefly review if you forgot the content! Third, be more confident, for it will lead you on the way to success!

What should you do after you get the job? How could you perform excellently? As a tutor, try not to be late as you can. If you are always late, the employer will think that you do not care this job very much. Don’t let your late be the reason you are fired! Be more patient when your student could not understand what you say even though you have repeated the answer several times! The most important principle is to be modest when you could not answer the question asked by your student; maybe it embarrasses you very much. If you really have not idea to solve the question, you could tell him/her the truth directly. Pretending to know everything will make you more hypocritical.

Someone thinks that earning money would be the main reason to be a tutor; of course, this is one of the profits you get, gathering more experience I think is the most important before you step into the society!

Oh, by the way, you should get the agreement on payment; time table with your employer first if you want to receive the job. Don’t always change your mind in the midway!

These are my experience about being a tutor, I hope they could do a little use in your way to find a part-time job –tutor!
